Members in good standing and their guests can use the Lake Tamarack facilities provided that they display a Member badge for themselves and Lake Tamarack Guest badges for their guests.
Members in good standing can fish here provided they have their Lake Tamarack Member badge and their guest has a Lake Tamarack Guest Fishing badge. People between the ages of 16 and 70 who fish Lake Tamarack must also have a NJ State Fishing License with a Trout Stamp.
Members can store their boats at several different areas around the lake. Boats are stored at a designated area between the North and South dams on Lake Shore Road North, at a designated area next to Beach 2 and also on designated access paths, owned by the Association, around the lake. Boats must have a LTA boat tag visibly displayed if it is stored on Association property. Tags are free at the Lake office. We recommend that you chain and lock your boat.

Yes. It is a requirement by the Board of Health. Samples are taken and analyzed by a certified lab on a regular basis during the summer season.
Lake Tamarack Association cannot check the lake for ice safety. There are springs in the lake and therefore, although it may seem safe in one spot it may not be safe in another spot. Use of the lake during winter months is at your own risk.

No. This was started by a community member as a way for neighbors to communicate amongst themselves. It is not monitored by the Board of Trustees nor is it monitored by our office management. If you have a question, you can contact the Lake office directly.
No. Most residents use Waste Management or Blue Diamond for trash pick-up. Trash can also be brought to the Sussex County Municipal Utilities facility on Rt. 94 in Lafayette. Hardyston Twp. has contracted with a trash company to pick up recyclables each month. The dates are on the Township's website.
